A new cold forming machine has been installed in our production hall for the manufacture of our fully threaded screws. With an impressive weight of 35 tons, a length of 14 m and a width of five meters, the machine can produce almost 90 screws per minute. This corresponds to around 129,600 screws per day in a three-shift operation.
The specially produced screws with a screw length of up to one meter and a maximum thread length of 400 mm are used in load-bearing timber construction and are also used for roofs and facades. These include fasteners with a full thread, partial thread or underhead thread. Depending on their area of application, these are provided with various screw tips in our production — normal tip, AG tip, DAG tip or drill tip. During the production process, up to five kilometres of wire are processed every hour and compressed, rolled and milled to the desired length. The finished screws are removed using fully automatic processes at the end of the machine. These screws are then hardened and coated in a chamber furnace at a temperature of 880 degrees to make them more resistant and durable against mechanical stress.
With the new cold forming plant and the associated state-of-the-art technologies, we are expanding smooth processes and offering our customers precise production with the highest quality standards.
